wedding duties and other vacation tidbits
There didn't seem to be much difference between Vancouver and Toronto. I left Toronto on a super rainy day and got more of the same when I got in. In fact, one of the days was so cold my mom told me to put on an extra sweater - she refused to turn on the heating in July.So I spent much of Friday preparing for my role as MC for my cousin's wedding. The day (July 26) came and went in a flash and it seemed like everyone had a good time; no one threw tomatoes at me and I didn't get boo-ed off the podium so all went well. Minor hiccups included the bell captain at the hotel informing me that the meal choices on his master list did not match those on the actual table settings. Other than that, I had a great time, throwing in a couple of surprises the bride and groom didn't expect.
